Excellent, but I do wonder about the last photo with everyone smiling with a coffin in foreground. Would this happen if there was a real body in there?

Jan, who says there wasn't a real body there? Down the back elevator, out the side door and across the street is a funeral home. Stretchers are easy to roll.

Why do the deacons or subdeacons hold up the back of the chasuble?

Anonymous 11.21, in that case, as they all look like the cat who got the cream then it must be someone they're delighted to be rid of?

Anonymous 5.31, Fr Z gives this explanation for the lifting of the chasuable:

The practical answer is the best answer. Vestments of yore were fuller, draping lots of material over the arms, which could sometimes be heavy. The weight of vestments were increased by ornamentation. At the consecration, the edge of the the chasuble would be raised to assist the priest or bishop in raising his arms.

Also, in a Requiem Mass the subdeacon is off to the side doing the incensations.
